Stolen Lexus Claims Two Lives in Tragic Car Accident

A vehicle involved in a tragic car accident in Yerevan was reported stolen. This information was confirmed by the press service of the Police of Armenia.

Earlier, it was reported that on December 26, at 23:30, a collision occurred between a Lexus and a Mercedes on Isakov Avenue in Yerevan. The 50-year-old driver of the Mercedes, Edward Kocharyan, and 43-year-old passenger Nver Melikonyan died at the scene, while the 42-year-old female passenger in the same vehicle and two men extricated from the Lexus were hospitalized with injuries.

On December 27, at 00:20, a 36-year-old man called the operational management center of the Yerevan Police and reported that his vehicle had been stolen from Leningrad Street.

The operational group of the Mashtots Police Department determined that the Lexus belonging to the man who filed the report had been stolen near house number 31/1 on Leningrad Street around 23:30 on December 26 and was involved in the accident.

An investigation is underway.
