Light Snow and Ice on Roads in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that the roads across the country are mostly passable.
However, access is difficult on the Vardenyats Pass, the Sotk-Karvachar road, and the Saravan-Zanger section.
There are occasional patches of black ice on the Alagyaz-Tsilkhar and Alagyaz-Artik roads.
Light snow is falling in the Vardenyats Pass, the Gegharkunik region, the Aparan and Aragats regions of the Aragatsotn province, the towns of Talin and Ashtarak, the cities of Abovyan, Hrazdan, and Charentsavan in Kotayk province, as well as in the Shirak region's Gyumri and Maralik cities, and the villages of Amasia and Ashotzk.
Fog is reported in the “Chayni” bends and in the cities of Abovyan and Charentsavan in Kotayk province.
Drivers are advised to travel in the regions only with winter tires.
According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
Information from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, North Ossetia’s main department indicates that there are accumulated vehicles on the Russian side.
