New List of Ministries Announced
The draft law on amendments to the "Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government" has been published, suggesting a reduction in the number of ministries from 17 to 12. This information is reported by Armtimes.com.
According to the draft, the new government will consist of a Prime Minister, two Deputy Prime Ministers, and ministers. The position of the First Deputy Prime Minister is being abolished.
The proposed ministries are as follows:
- Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs
- Ministry of Health
- Ministry of Justice
- Ministry of Emergency Situations
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Ministry of Environment
- Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports
- Ministry of Defense
- Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure
- Ministry of High Technology and Defense Industry
- Ministry of Economic Development and Agriculture
- Ministry of Finance
According to the draft, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development, the State Property Management Committee, and the Water Committee will merge into the Ministry of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources, which will be renamed the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
The merger of the Ministries of Culture, Education, Science, Sports, and Youth Affairs will create the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
The Ministry of Agriculture will merge with the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments and will be named the Ministry of Economic Development and Agriculture.
The Defense Industry Committee will merge with the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and IT, and will be called the Ministry of High Technology and Defense Industry.
The activities of the Ministry of Diaspora will cease, and the charter will be recognized as having lost its validity.
