Hard Response from Vazgen Sargsyan's Brother to Robert Kocharyan
Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan has written a book in Russian titled "Life and Freedom," which outlines his life and activities. In the book, Kocharyan elaborates on the events of October 27 and details his close relationship with wartime commander Vazgen Sargsyan, stating, "Vazgen and I were indeed close friends."
In response to Kocharyan's assertion, Vazgen Sargsyan's brother, Aram Sargsyan, expressed his outrage on Facebook. He criticized Kocharyan's claim of friendship, stating, "You claimed to be friends, yet you never concealed your disdain for the people around Vazgen, whom you considered wrongfully appointed, including Vago, Shirghi, and others. There was only one person you liked in power at that time, besides Serzh and Agvan."
Aram Sargsyan went on to question various aspects of Kocharyan's remarks, asking:
- Which variant of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue was being discussed then that inspired both Vazgen and Demirchyan?
- Why is there no recording of your negotiations with the criminal? Don’t say that Grisha Sarkisov, Grigori Gareginich, Vovan Gasparyan, and Krakeem Hrach let you in without communication and recording.
- How did you decide, before any investigation, that it was a case at the level of ‘uchaskoviy’?
- Why did you hasten the trial and avoid questioning many witnesses, concealing the truth?
He concluded by remarking that the views one has about people’s knowledge and abilities come from someone who did not even learn up to the Father’s level, who does not enjoy reading books, and whose experience with the economy is limited to being a party secretary at Kasholki, and who thought that even 20% of the budget was his and looted the country.
