Washington Lifts Sanctions on Rusal: Armenal to Benefit

The U.S. Treasury Department has lifted sanctions on Rusal. Political analyst Suren Sargsyan announced this, adding that Armenal will 'breathe easier' and that Armenian-American trade will also benefit.

The Armenal plant, located in Yerevan, is part of the global aluminum producer Rusal.

Earlier reports indicated that due to U.S. sanctions, Armenal had begun to reduce its capacities, and employees were not working at full capacity.
