The State Revenue Committee Urges Payment of the Established License Fee for Paid Parking
The State Revenue Committee of Armenia urges the payment of the established license fee for the operation of paid parking lots, otherwise, liability as stipulated in Article 407 of the Tax Code will be applied.
According to a statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department of the State Revenue Committee:
“In certain cases, fees are charged for parking provided in spaces owned or leased by commercial and public catering facilities without using systems that register the entry and exit of motor vehicles. Considering that such activities fall under the taxation of the license fee according to Article 276 of the Tax Code, we recommend calculating and paying the license fee in accordance with the law and obtaining a license to avoid the stipulated liability.”
If the same activity is carried out by individuals who are not registered with the state or tax authorities, it will be considered as illegal entrepreneurship, and liability stipulated in Article 407 of the Tax Code will apply, which is a fine equal to 50% of the business income calculated according to the law, but not less than 200,000 drams.
