Some Dismissed Police Officers Have Left Armenia with Their Families – Osipyan

The Traffic Police is not constrained in its operations. This was stated today by the Chief of Police of Armenia, Valeri Osipyan, during a meeting with journalists, responding to comments regarding privileged individuals who travel in convoys, violating traffic rules and "not laying down on the asphalt."

“We have said ‘no’ to corruption, and I assure you that there is no instance or case of corruption in the RA police. The Traffic Police is working better today than before,” said Osipyan.

The police chief also announced that several employees of the Traffic Police have been dismissed due to doubts about their ability to work in the new situation. According to Osipyan, the number of dismissed police officers is about 20 to 25. Many officers who could not adapt to the new situation have resigned on their own and even left Armenia with their families.
