Kocharian to Retire, Says 'Hraparak'

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Shavarsh Kocharian, will be sent into retirement. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.

According to the article, "It is possible that he will be appointed as a consultant to the minister," it noted.

The publication also stated that shortly, Artak Apitonian, the ambassador to Sweden and Finland, will be appointed as the deputy minister of foreign affairs. Apitonian previously served as the head of the external relations department of the Armenian presidency from 2009 to 2013. Meanwhile, Alexander Arzumanyan, the ambassador to Denmark and Norway, will take on the responsibilities of ambassador for two additional countries.
