It’s Strange that No One Has Been Punished for the April Events, Harutyunyan

After today’s government meeting, Acting Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan was asked by reporters whether he found it strange that the former head of the Intelligence Department of the RA Armed Forces, Arshak Karapetyan, was appointed as an advisor to the Prime Minister.

It’s worth noting that earlier, when Karapetyan was appointed as the military attaché at the Armenian Embassy in Russia, Arayik Harutyunyan had written:

“I have interesting information to share with you: the head of the department who was dismissed during the April war has been appointed as the military attaché at our embassy in Moscow. It’s strange that no one has been punished or held accountable for the April events.”

Harutyunyan pointed out that yesterday the Prime Minister provided a detailed answer to this question. As for his earlier expressed opinion, he clarified his quote.

“I have found it strange that no one has been punished for the events related to April,” he stated.
