Does the Police Know Where Vahagn Harutyunyan Is?

The Chief of Police, Valery Osipyan, declined to disclose whether the police are aware of the whereabouts of Vahagn Harutyunyan, who is wanted in connection with the March 1 case. In response to a journalist's question after today's government meeting, Valery Osipyan recalled that for months journalists have been asking him why the police have been unable to locate Narek Sargsyan.

“But we found him. Now, regarding Vahagn Harutyunyan, time is needed for each wanted person and each case. Please allow us not to disclose what we have; there are certain details we cannot reveal,” he stated.

It is noteworthy that according to Harutyunyan's defense attorney, he is currently in the Russian Federation receiving medical treatment. On December 12, the Court of Appeals overturned the decision of the first instance and revoked the arrest warrant that had been imposed on the former head of the March 1 investigative group, Vahagn Harutyunyan.
