Anna Hakobyan Presents Report on Switzerland Visit

Considering the great interest surrounding my visit to Switzerland, the various comments made, and the ongoing questions from journalists about the means of my trip to Geneva, I find it necessary to present a detailed report regarding the visit. This was stated by the acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan, on her Facebook page.

“So, here are the details:

1. Idea: The idea of visiting Geneva was born among various representatives of the Armenian community in Switzerland. The proposal for such a visit was made to me by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Armenia in Switzerland, Anahit Harutyunyan.
2. Expenses: During the visit, I was accompanied by the director of the ‘My Step’ Foundation, a press secretary, and two representatives from the protocol department. The expenses for the visit related to myself, the foundation's director, and the press secretary were covered by the foundation’s funds, while the expenses for the protocol department staff were covered by state funds.
3. Accordingly, a total of 3,613,034 AMD was spent from the foundation, and 2,516,000 AMD was spent from state funds. In total, 6,130,000 AMD was spent on the trip to Switzerland from the foundation and the budget.
4. Results: During my meetings in Geneva, representatives of the Armenian community collectively donated 75,435,620.73 AMD to the ‘My Step’ Foundation. Numerous agreements were reached for further cooperation. The funding issue for a state-significant project (valued at 400,000 euros) was resolved. During the meeting at the Swiss Parliament, I presented the ‘Women for Peace’ campaign and the role of Armenian women in the Armenian revolution. Finally, I had very warm and heartfelt interactions with representatives of the Geneva community, we got to know each other, and established relationships that can never be measured by money,” she wrote.
