Return Official Vehicles: 'Joughour' Reports
'Joughour' newspaper reports: According to information from the 'Joughour' daily, the leaders of parliamentary factions and the heads of permanent committees were instructed by the Speaker of the National Assembly Ara Babloyan to return their official vehicles.
This comes at a time when members of the newly dissolved parliament, who were officially disbanded, still retain their status as representatives and should be entitled to their rights. It has been revealed that some were simply told to return their vehicles, while others were informed that the cars should be parked in a garage for a few days for technical inspection.
The directive issued in Babloyan's name has caused discontent. For comments, 'Joughour' daily reached out to the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Staff, Arsen Babayan, who stated, “The NA Speaker does not deal with such matters. Vehicles will be returned a reasonable time before the expiration of their mandates.”
In response to whether such a directive had indeed been issued and whether the vehicles had been returned, he noted, “There has been no directive; we have prepared to accept the returns. In other words, the garage is already ready for the vehicles to be surrendered and parked.”
