National Theatre Appoints Interim Director

The National Theatre named after Sos Sargsyan has appointed actor Arman Navasardyan as the interim director.

In a conversation with an Armenpress correspondent, Navasardyan stated that he took on the responsibilities of the interim director on December 19 following a decree from the Acting Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, Lilit Makunts.

“Tomorrow, we will be meeting with representatives of the media alongside theatre actress Narine Grigoryan to present the theatre's future plans,” he emphasized.

It is noteworthy that the entire creative team of the theatre had voiced their desire for Navasardyan to hold this position months ago, so the decision was not unexpected for the actor.
