Criminal Authorities Arrive in Armenia
According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', a large number of criminal authorities have arrived in Armenia from various countries, predominantly from Russia. 'They have come to participate in the memorial for criminal authority Armen Kanevsky, also known as Armen Haroutunyan, which was on December 18,' the newspaper writes.
The daily recalls that last year several dozen criminal authorities also visited Armenia.
'After the revolution, this tradition has evidently continued. Although this year could have been an exception or looked a bit different had the court not released Armen Kanevsky's brother, Artyom, on bail of 20 million drams on October 17,' the newspaper notes.
It is important to mention that he was detained on charges of inciting an official to forge a passport.
'For the past two days, outside the elite entertainment centers and luxury hotels of the city, one can see vehicles servicing the authorities who have arrived from abroad.'
Representatives of the criminal world visited the grave of Armen Kanevsky at the Shahumyan cemetery yesterday and subsequently gathered at the 'San Lazaro' mourning hall, as they did last year. We have been told that about 900 people attended, including 10 criminal authorities. They have settled in the city's luxury hotels, including the 'Imperial' and 'Marriott'. After paying their respects to their 'brother', they are expected to leave Armenia today or tomorrow,' Hraparak reports.
