Theft from 'Makaravank': Donation Box Money Stolen

From the 'Makaravank' monastery complex in Ijevan, silver candlesticks have been stolen, and the donation box has been broken into, with the money taken from it.

According to Shamshyan.com, an investigation has been initiated in the Ijevan division of the police concerning the theft that occurred at the 'Makaravank' monastery complex in Tavush province. Father Arshavir, the priest of the mentioned complex in the village of Achajur, reported to the Ijevan police department that between December 14 and 15, an unknown individual or individuals broke the lock of the complex's door, entered, and stole silver candlesticks. They then broke the donation box and took the money that was inside.

The Ijevan police's investigation department has commissioned various expert examinations to determine the extent of the damage suffered by the monastery complex.
