Do Not Kill Girls: Advisor to Pashinyan's Plea

Varazdat Karapetyan, an advisor to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, has published statistics on the number of births recorded in the Gegharkunik region during November on his Facebook page, along with a poignant message.

“Do not kill girls; they are people too. Please. Artificial terminations of pregnancy in Armenia must be strictly controlled and banned as much as possible,” he wrote.

According to the data, in November, 139 boys and 92 girls were born in the Gegharkunik region.
