Snow and Fog: Situation on Armenia's Highways

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Armenia reports that as of December 13 at 17:00, snow is falling on the Goris, Meghri, and Jermuk highways, as well as in the Saravan and Vardenyats mountain passes.

There are patches of black ice on the Aragats-Artik highway, in the Spitak bends, and in the Vardenyats mountain pass.

Fog is present in the Meghri mountain pass, with visibility reduced to 100 meters.

Due to the heavy snowfall and poor visibility, the Vardenyats mountain pass is closed.

Road construction teams are working on snow clearing and applying salt and sand on the roads.

The other inter-state and republican highways in Armenia are open.
