Details on the Dispute Among Minors at Yerevan's School No. 48

The Head of the 3rd Department of the Criminal Investigation Main Directorate of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Colonel Nelly Duryan, made a post on Facebook addressing a dispute that occurred at one of the capital's schools.

“Information has circulated online that a dispute took place at School No. 48 in the capital, during which a minor was stabbed. It should be noted that on December 10, 2018, at 12:55 PM, a report was received from Children's Polyclinic No. 16 indicating that a minor named G. (born in 2005) had sought medical assistance for a blunt trauma injury to the abdomen with damage to internal organs. He reported that the injury was sustained as a result of falling at School No. 48. On the same day, at 10:30 PM, the same minor again sought medical assistance at 'Muratsan' Hospital for a blunt abdominal injury with bleeding, stating once more that he had received the injury from falling at School No. 48.

Officers from the Juvenile Affairs and Family Violence Prevention Division of the Kanaker-Zeytun Police Department discovered that around 10:30 AM on December 10, 2018, a group of minors had engaged in a dispute and scuffle at School No. 48, during which minor P. kicked minor G., resulting in the latter sustaining injuries. A forensic examination has been ordered. An investigation is underway,” Nelly Duryan wrote.
