Double Hit-and-Run in Front of Vernissage

On December 14, a fatal hit-and-run occurred in Yerevan. Approximately at 07:40, the driver of a Kia Sorento with license plate number PN 0032 M hit a woman aged 60-65 who was crossing the street at a non-designated area in front of the Vernissage on Khanzhyan Street.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and called the Yerevan 1-03 emergency service, attempting to provide assistance to the victim before the ambulance arrived. Eyewitnesses reported that the Kia driver exited the vehicle, approached the woman who was lying on the ground, and tried to help when a white Range Rover sped by and ran over her.

Since the Kia is registered under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Military Police.
