Disorder in Prisons: Various Groups Have Formed

According to the newspaper "Zhamanak," there is a complete state of disorder in Armenia's penitentiary institutions.

“In the New Armenia, various groups have formed around the prisons that are making huge sums of money by supplying inmates with alcohol, drugs, or food. The prison staff, in turn, is also earning money through collaboration with inmates.

Some inmates pay money to prison staff to keep their cell doors open. If this trend continues, Armenia could end up with the most liberal prisons in the region, and perhaps even the world,”
