Chocolate Chaos in Germany: 1 Ton of Chocolate Floods the Street
In western Germany, a street was flooded with nearly 1 ton of chocolate that spilled from the nearby DreiMeister factory, reports The Guardian. The incident occurred due to a "small technical issue."
After spilling onto the cold asphalt, the chocolate quickly solidified. Twenty-five emergency workers employed shovels, hot water, and torches to clean up the chocolate.
According to factory manager Markus Lukey, operations will resume today. He added that if the chocolate spill had happened around Christmas, it would have been disastrous.
