Extraordinary Incident in Shirak Region: Car Reduced to Ashes
A recent extraordinary incident occurred in the Shirak region. At around 14:20, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call at its 911 operational management center reporting that a car was on fire on the road between Gharibjanyan and Getq.
According to Shamshyan.com, the 53rd firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene with one firefighting unit. The rescuers extinguished the fire in a parked Volkswagen Golf, license plate 35 VF 949, however, the fire spread so quickly that the vehicle was reduced to a pile of ashes.
Preliminary information indicates that there were fortunately no casualties or injuries. Officers from the 2nd platoon of the 2nd company of the Road Police, led by platoon commander Vache Malakyan and squad commander Rafael Asryan, also arrived at the scene. An operational group from the Achuyn police department was also present. The cause of the fire will be determined after a series of investigations, and the police are working to identify the driver.
