Will Tsarukyan Use His Personal Connections with Lukashenko?

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, is awaiting an invitation from Armenia. This was stated today by the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, in response to a question about whether he might try to ease tensions between the two countries using his personal connections with Lukashenko, which have arisen over the issue of the election of the CSTO Secretary General.

“I want to say, so our compatriots know, that on November 24, I was in Belarus, I met with Alexander Grigoryevich, and he is currently awaiting an invitation to come to Armenia, to express his views and approach towards Armenia and the Armenian people,” he said.
