Joghoutchut' : Capital Outflow from Armenia

The newspaper "Joghoutchut'" reports: "There has been a sharp increase in the outflow of money from Armenia. Official documents revealed to the newspaper indicate that in October alone, the outflow of money from the Republic of Armenia amounted to $121 million 461 thousand. Overall, in the first ten months of this year, $951 million 38 thousand has been taken out of the country.

This figure exceeds the amount registered in the same period last year by $171 million 842 thousand. In January-October 2017, the outflow of money from Armenia was $779 million 196 thousand. Interestingly, the outflow of capital has increased since February of this year, amounting to approximately $99.8 million, and this trend continued for the next two months, with $93.7 million leaving in March and $92.3 million in April.

However, after that, the pace of capital outflow significantly decreased and only resumed recently. It can be assumed that the former authorities are gradually removing their wealth from the country as they attempt to escape from here."
