Court Decides to Arrest Robert Kocharyan

The Court of Appeal of Armenia rejected the appeals of former President Robert Kocharyan's defense team, upholding the decision of the first instance court.

Following today's court session, Kocharyan's lawyer, Hayk Alumyanc, informed reporters about the decision.

According to the court, "he must be arrested," Alumyanc stated in response to questions from journalists regarding the possibility of Kocharyan's arrest.

Alumyanc also noted that this was a political decision.

It is noteworthy that for five consecutive days, Kocharyan's defense team presented appeals and motions in the Court of Appeal. The prosecution team, led by Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan, opposed all presented appeals and motions.
