‘Zhamanak’ newspaper reports: “We continue to receive concerning information from the regions, particularly from community leaders who report about the pressures being exerted on them by the governors appointed by the new administration.
Community leaders in the Tavush region say that while during the previous administration they were at least given some funds to buy the loyalty and votes of their fellow villagers, the current governor Vahe Galumyan simply demands and threatens them. Galumyan is a childhood friend of Nikol Pashinyan, and it is important for him to show that Pashinyan’s native region supports him the most, regardless of how closely that aligns with reality.”
