David Shahnazaryan Holds Urgent Press Conference

The Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, announced on his Facebook page that an urgent press conference with David Shahnazaryan will take place today at 14:00 in the press hall of the Republican Party's central headquarters.

As previously reported, the National Security Service (NSS) viewed Shahnazaryan's statement regarding Sasun Mikayelyan as a report of a serious crime. Shahnazaryan has been summoned by the NSS.

Recall that last month, David Shahnazaryan, a candidate for MP from the Republican Party, stated that the assertion by Sasun Mikayelyan, a member of the Civil Contract party, that the victory of the revolution was more important than the Artsakh war, is a political agenda being implemented by Nikol Pashinyan, meaning that it is the government acting in place of Artsakh.

The NSS reported that Shahnazaryan was thus accusing the current authorities and acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of state treason. This accusation has been reiterated and affirmed by David Shahnazaryan even the day before.

Shahnazaryan has responded to the NSS's statement, indicating that he was invited by them yesterday and had planned to visit today; however, after today's announcement, he has changed his mind and decided not to go.
