Armenia Has Not Made Any Requests to Anyone: Pashinyan Responds to Putin's Aide

Armenia has not made any requests to anyone, nor has it made any offers. This was stated today by the candidate for Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, during a campaign event.

“We have said that we have our candidate in the CSTO, and we are consistently continuing negotiations about our candidate,” he said.

Notably, Pashinyan had informed reporters during a recent campaign that he had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the Russian leader suggested postponing the issue of the election of the CSTO Secretary-General to the next year, to which Pashinyan stated he did not object and agreed.

It is worth recalling that the day before, Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, had told reporters that the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization had been postponed at Armenia's request due to the upcoming elections in the country.

Following this, the press secretary of the acting Prime Minister, Arman Yeghoyan, denied Ushakov’s statement.
