Will Silva Hambardzumyan be summoned to court?
Businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan is set to appear in court soon. The law office of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian, reports that the First Instance General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan has accepted Robert Kocharian's lawsuit against Silva Hambardzumyan.
"The lawsuit has been filed by Robert Kocharian's representative Aram Orbelyan, seeking to refute slanderous factual information and demanding the recovery of two million AMD in compensation," the office states.
It is noted that the lawsuit presented to the court on November 13 is based on Silva Hambardzumyan's statement made during a press conference at the 'Hayatsk' press club on November 2, 2018, in which she claimed that in 2008, she made a large transaction with Arabs and paid President Robert Kocharian to not interfere.
