Police Denounces Arpine Hovhannisyan's Statement as False

The police have issued a clarification regarding the Facebook post of the Vice President of the National Assembly and Republican Party candidate Arpine Hovhannisyan.

It is noted that Arpine Hovhannisyan claimed that the police are a tool of electoral pressure, engaged in making threats at the highest levels.

We fully present the police's statement below:

"In connection with the Facebook post of RA NA deputy Arpine Hovhannisyan titled 'The Police are a Tool of Electoral Pressure,' we inform you that based on the materials prepared on her submission titled 'Report on a Crime,' the initiation of a criminal case has been rejected due to lack of corpus delicti. The Prosecutor's office has verified the legality of the rejection. Arpine Hovhannisyan is free to appeal the decision on the rejection.

Regarding the intervention of the police in the electoral campaign, we state that her comment is false and driven by campaign logic. The police are an apolitical body, do not participate in political processes, and clearly fulfill their obligation to ensure equal conditions for all."
