Kocharian's Defenders to Request Appeal to Constitutional Court

The defenders of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, will submit a petition to the Court of Appeals to request a ruling on the constitutionality of Articles 300 and 300.1 of the Criminal Code, seeking to appeal to the Constitutional Court.

“We are addressing the court, finding that the legal norms applied in this case are inconsistent with the Constitution, and we request to appeal to the Constitutional Court. Alternatively, if the court believes these norms are inconsistent, then it should not apply them,” stated Aram Orbelyan.
