Ararat Governor Confirms Incident, Has Dismissed Assistant
Information has been circulated in the media regarding an argument between Garik Sargsyan, a candidate for MP in the proportional electoral district of the "My Step" alliance, and Tigran Parsilyan.
The acting governor of Ararat, Garik Sargsyan, who is currently on vacation, does not deny that an incident occurred.
"I do not deny that an incident took place days ago between a supporter of Tigran Parsilyan, a candidate from the "My Step" alliance, and my assistant. However, I want to emphasize that I personally have not been involved in this incident in any way. Following the incident, my assistant submitted an explanation to the police, and in addition, by my decision, he has been dismissed from his position.
My campaign is continuing smoothly and in a healthy atmosphere during these days. The atmosphere of love and tolerance continues to prevail in my team. I consider this as an attempt by the media to cast a shadow on the "My Step" alliance during the campaign period," stated Sargsyan.
It is worth noting that there were reports in the press that the acting governor of Ararat, Garik Sargsyan, had given instructions for his own deputy to be beaten for daring to contradict the leader’s words. People who attended the meeting with Nikol Pashinyan also witnessed the incident.
