Has a Soldier from the 102nd Military Base Killed a Woman from Gyumri? The Prosecutor Does Not Deny
On December 2, under still unclear circumstances, a woman identified as Julieta Gh., an employee of the housing and communal services department of the Gyumri municipality, passed away in Gyumri following a beating.
According to reports from Galatv.am, it has been suggested that she was beaten to death by a soldier from the Russian 102nd military base. This information has neither been confirmed nor denied by the Prosecutor of the Shirak region, Karen Gabrielyan.
The Gyumri municipality stated that their information regarding the incident is also limited.
Julieta Gh. had been working at the Gyumri municipality since April 2015. The municipality reported to the media that she was considered "a normal, approachable, and very diligent worker."
The incident occurred in the Slabodka neighborhood of Gyumri. The woman was transferred to the hospital in an unconscious state and later died in the intensive care unit. The injuries she sustained were primarily in the head area.
