Russia Bans Male Citizens Aged 16-60 from Entering Ukraine
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has prohibited the entry of male citizens of the Russian Federation aged 16 to 60 into the country, according to a report by TASS, citing the agency's head, Pyotr Tsigikaling.
"Enhanced measures are being implemented at border control checkpoints. As of today, the entry of foreigners, primarily Russian citizens, is restricted. The entry of male citizens of the Russian Federation aged 16 to 60 is banned," he stated.
As previously reported by Tert.am, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin announced that Kyiv intends to unilaterally terminate around 40 agreements previously signed with Moscow.
“However, these should be treated very carefully so that the termination of these agreements does not harm our citizens,” the minister said, adding that recently Ukraine has already terminated 48 bilateral agreements with Russia.
It is recalled that on the morning of November 25, the Russian Federal Security Service reported that vessels belonging to the Ukrainian Navy violated the Russian maritime border in the Kerch Strait. As a result, the Russian side closed the strait to cargo ships.
Due to the actions of the Ukrainian Navy, Russia deployed Su-25 aircraft to patrol the area of the Kerch Strait.
Kyiv has accused Moscow of conducting overtly aggressive actions. Ukraine has also reported the opening of fire by Russia towards its vessels and the seizure of its ships.
One day after the incident, Ukraine imposed martial law in the country for 30 days.
