Russian Regulators Conduct Major Inspections in Armenian Production Facilities
In response to an invitation from the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia, a delegation from Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has arrived in Armenia. Joint inspections are set to be carried out alongside experts in veterinary and phytosanitary fields at several Armenian companies producing plant and animal origin products.
Today, under the leadership of Head of the Food Safety Inspectorate Tigran Petrosyan, a discussion was held between representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor and the Inspectorate regarding the issues included in the agenda of the planned supervisory measures.
Head of the Russian delegation Alexey Shcheglov conveyed greetings from Sergey Dankvert, the head of Rosselkhoznadzor, expressing gratitude for the quick response to the current situation, as well as readiness to organize joint supervisory measures.
Tigran Petrosyan assured that the cooperation between the competent authorities of the two countries will always be of a constructive nature.
Over the next seven days, supervisory measures are planned to be conducted at a number of Armenian enterprises, including eight plant production facilities and four fish breeding facilities, aimed at checking the compliance of phytosanitary and aquaculture products exported from Armenia to Russia with the requirements and norms of EAEU legislation.
