Pashinyan on Armenian Weapon Exports

Pashinyan on Armenian Weapon Exports

This year we have exported weapons to the international market. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on leave, during a pre-election rally in the city of Ararat on May 21. He heads the electoral list of the 'Civil Agreement' party.

According to him, Armenia has entered the international arms market. Pashinyan invited voters to the military parade scheduled for May 28, after which some of the equipment, including locally produced samples, will be showcased in the area adjacent to Republic Square in Yerevan.

He added that the issue of attracting private investors following the nationalization of the 'Ararat Cement' plant will be resolved through an international, open, and transparent competition. Pashinyan assured that the state will have a share in the factory, following the example of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine.

The previous transaction related to the factory was labeled a fraud by him. 'This stolen property will be returned to the state,' he stated.

Pashinyan also assured that since 2018, the authorities have provided citizens with about $1 billion in support for purchasing housing, including within the framework of housing construction projects in the border communities of Yeraskh and Paruir Sevak in the Ararat region.

During a meeting with voters in the city of Vedi, Pashinyan confirmed that since 2018, 280,000 new jobs have been created in Armenia and the average salary has increased by 70%. 'If we take into account the inflation during that period, we can say that the purchasing power of Armenian citizens has increased by 50%,' he added.
