Kremlin Warning: Hope Armenia Will Assess Soberly and Not Engender Confrontation with Russia, Says Galuzin
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Galuzin, has stated that Moscow expects restraint from Armenian society during the pre-election period. In a conversation with journalists following a meeting of the special working group of the Russian Security Council, the diplomat addressed the current political atmosphere in Armenia.
According to the Russian high-ranking official, Moscow has always respected the Armenian people. He expressed hope that in the upcoming elections, citizens will not allow the country to be drawn into complications or confrontations in its relations with Russia amidst the active political situation.
Galuzin emphasized the importance of a sober assessment of the situation among the Armenian public, stressing the necessity of avoiding an increase in tensions in bilateral relations that could be provoked by the context of the electoral processes.
