Google Maps Shows Armenian Tigranashen as Azerbaijan

Google Maps has changed the name of the Armenian village of Tigranashen to an Azerbaijani name and displays it as belonging to Azerbaijan. This was reported by opposition MP Kristine Vardanyan.

“If you didn’t get it clearly, the area of Armenia's Ararat region is recognized by Google as Azerbaijan. This can only be changed based on data from the relevant state bodies. Well, if you have a ‘leader’ who calls Armenian villages by Azerbaijani names, then such distortions already exist. They just don’t tell the public so that they don't vote against and so they can confront them with facts later and say, if we don't give up, there will be a war. And this is still the pre-election period; imagine what will happen after they are re-elected. In reality, the way to not give up new territories is a change in government,” she wrote.
