Tonoian Comments on Pashinyan's Statement on Nationalization of Araratcement
I have serious doubts that Nikol Pashinyan will soon have the desire to nationalize the statue of Jesus Christ, said press secretary Iveta Tonoian during a press conference with members of the Bright Armenia political team, referring to Pashinyan's statement regarding the nationalization of the Araratcement plant.
“Immediately following Pashinyan's threat to nationalize the plant, the Prosecutor General's office issued a statement just minutes later, indicating that we will be pursuing the legal aspects. It is regrettable that instead of addressing the high crime rates, extensive drug trafficking, and all such detrimental processes in our country, our law enforcement agencies organize their work based on the directives of a single individual, acting on a commissioned concert logic,” stated Iveta Tonoian.
It's noteworthy that Pashinyan announced today that the Araratcement plant will be state-owned and belong to Armenia. Following the Prime Minister's statement, the Prosecutor General's office released a statement indicating that it had discovered several violations in the privatization process of the Araratcement company.
