Armenian Weapon Exports Have Begun: New Deals Expected, Says Minister of High-Tech Industry

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mikayel Hayrapetyan, addressed his statement regarding the export of Armenian manufactured weapons worth millions of dollars, stating that he will not disclose the names of the companies, the total value, and the countries of export for now, as there is no final agreement between the parties regarding such data. During a meeting with journalists, the minister noted that this event is unprecedented for our country, as military products manufactured in Armenia have been exported for the first time.

“This is the beginning of a long journey, as new deals are expected in the future. Currently, several companies already have permits from the Armenian government to export to multiple countries or are at least in the process,” he said.

Earlier, the Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mikayel Hayrapetyan, announced that for the first time, Armenian manufactured weapons worth millions of dollars have been exported from Armenia. The minister noted that the weapons were exported by three Armenian companies, while the importing countries were two. At that time, the minister did not disclose the names of the Armenian companies and the importing countries.
