Authorities Suspect Acting Mayor of Vanadzor, Akay: 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' reports that on Friday, law enforcement conducted searches and arrests not only at the offices of the 'Strong Armenia' party and in areas associated with individuals linked to that force, but also among the relatives of Arkadi Peleshyan.

The publication states that there are rumors in Vanadzor that the preferred candidate for mayor from the ruling party, Akay, is secretly working for Samvel Karapetyan, and authorities are trying to verify this through individuals connected to him.

'Hraparak' also notes that this could be a manifestation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's suspicions. It is unclear what has been revealed as a result of these actions, and the newspaper has been unable to reach Akay for comment. Sources have informed 'Hraparak' that all those arrested have already been released.
