Murmansk Armenian Businessman Accused of Illegally Exporting 1 Billion Rubles from Russia

The former head of the Murmansk region government representation, Ashot Babloomyan, is accused of embezzling budget funds and illegally exporting 1 billion rubles from Russia.

According to the investigation, Babloomyan formed an organized criminal group for the purpose of embezzling budgetary resources before 2022. The funds were transferred abroad through legal entities under his control.

The court documents also mention that the businessman Hovhannes Shankoyan was part of the criminal community. It is noted that he is the founder of 11 companies operating in Murmansk.
