Criminal Prosecution Launched Against Individual for Hooliganism on Facebook

During the investigation of a criminal case initiated by the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, it was revealed that on May 9, 2026, A.O. deliberately committed hooliganism on his Facebook page. Utilizing information technology, he posted a photo of 61-year-old H.M., motivated by political views supporting the 'Civil Contract' party, and published a video containing obscene expressions, thereby demonstrating a blatant disregard for moral norms. This was reported by the RA Investigative Committee.

“A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against A.O. under Article 297, Part 2, Point 3 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed using information or communication technologies). As a preventive measure, house arrest has been imposed on him. The investigation continues,” the statement said.
