Avanesian: No One from This Side of the Hakari Bridge Has Brought Hot Meals for Our Fellow Citizens

“The Karabakh clan” is trying to seize power by making the Republic of Armenia a slave. This was stated by Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan in an interview with 24News, commenting on the debate that occurred today between a citizen and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an election campaign in Arabkir.

“No one should try to bring terrorism back to the Republic of Armenia by playing on people's nerves, emotions, and patriotic feelings. The citizens of Nagorno-Karabakh, our compatriots, have always been under the care of the people of Armenia. From this side of the Hakari Bridge, we don’t remember anyone bringing a single pot of hot meals to welcome our compatriots; we have been there, we know. It has been the ordinary citizens of the Republic of Armenia who have welcomed our compatriots and provided them with first aid.”

“No one should try to drive a wedge between the people of Armenia and the Karabakh Armenians, and the 'Karabakh clan,' which is trying to seize power by making the Republic of Armenia a slave and continuing the pillage, will not succeed in using Armenians and Karabakh people for their own interests. Today, the opposition fields and the 'triple-headed war party' are trying to pull Armenia back and drag it into the logic of conflict; we are responding specifically to this rhetoric and standing firm in our statements. The people of Armenia have barely caught their breath and feel secure in the Republic of Armenia,” she noted.

When asked if she believes that the Prime Minister's rhetoric targets the Armenians of Artsakh, Avanesyan emphasized that she absolutely does not think so: “The Prime Minister's words were sharp and corresponded to those semi-terroristic manifestations which he displayed in his video message.”

It is worth recalling that today, during the election campaign of the Civil Contract party in the Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan, an incident occurred between Nikol Pashinyan and a doctor from Artsakh.
