Tragic Incident Reported at Nubarashen Mental Health Center: Ministry of Interior Provides Details

On May 16, at 18:07, the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report from the Nubarashen Mental Health Center indicating that Armen Hovhannisyan had committed suicide by hanging while being treated there. This information was disclosed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

Hovhannisyan was under arrest and had been remanded in custody at the community police department in Artashat. Earlier on the same day, around 09:30, he exhibited signs of mental instability, prompting the call for emergency medical assistance. Following the emergency doctor's advice, he was transported to the mental health center in an ambulance, accompanied by police officers.
