Stabbing and Gunshots in Echmiadzin: Including General Manvel Grigoryan's Grandson

Details have emerged about an incident that took place in Echmiadzin, according to ArmLur.am. Among the individuals involved in the altercation was Seyran Artak Poghosyan, the son of former judge Naira Grigoryan, who is the daughter of General Manvel Grigoryan. It has been reported that he is currently in the hospital with injuries.

It was also revealed that the son of former Echmiadzin mayor Karen Grigoryan was among those involved in the altercation. He is likewise hospitalized with injuries.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the community police of Vagharshapat have identified a case of hooliganism and have seized the tool of the crime, a starter pistol. On May 14, at 10:40 AM, the operational management center of the Ministry received a call from the hospital stating that a 15-year-old resident of Echmiadzin had come in with stab wounds.

Officers from the Community Police Department of Vagharshapat responded to the report. Following operational and investigative measures, two 18-year-olds from Echmiadzin, suspected of hooliganism, were arrested and taken to the police station.

Subsequent investigations revealed that a resident of the village of Nor Geghi in the Kotayk region and his associates had argued with the already arrested youth on Vazgen Sargsyan Street in Echmiadzin, during which the resident of Nor Geghi stabbed the 15-year-old multiple times, while the 18-year-old from Echmiadzin fired shots into the air twice with a starter pistol.

The documents prepared have been submitted to the Vagharshapat investigative division. A criminal case has been initiated for hooliganism and causing medium harm to health. The firearm used in the crime has been found. Efforts are underway to identify all individuals involved in the incident.
