The US and China Reach Agreement on Iran

The US and China have agreed that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons, as announced by the White House. Following discussions between Trump and Xi Jinping, the parties also stated the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for the free flow of energy supplies.

Additionally, Beijing has expressed a willingness to purchase more American oil to reduce dependence on routes passing through the strait. The White House has described the negotiations as successful.

The leaders also discussed trade, investment issues, and the entry of American companies into the Chinese market.
