Armenian national team’s Serbian goalkeeper Ognjen Čančarević recalled an incredible and dramatically intense event related to the away match against Turkey.

“It was an unbelievable situation. When we approached the stadium, there was true chaos. I was watching the crowd entering when suddenly I noticed a man who was staring directly at me without blinking. It was a tense and even terrifying moment; our eyes met. He was wearing a summer jacket. While I was staring at him in amazement, he slowly unfastened the jacket's chain, revealed the Armenia national team shirt underneath, and then calmly closed it again. Even now, as I recount this, I get chills. That man was heading into a real ‘hell’—submerging into a crowd of 40,000 Turkish fans. He looked at me and smiled gently. It was simply madness; no one would dare even approach that place, let alone enter the stadium. Can you imagine what that scene was? He just slowly lowered the chain and… brother, that was true suicide. An incredible act that became a remarkable boost to our team’s fighting spirit before the game,” Čančarević recounted.
