The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, responded to the trends connecting recent events to the pre-election processes in an interview with NEWS.am. According to the minister, any recent action is related to the pre-election processes.

This was Papikyan's response to the question of whether the military parade scheduled for May 28 is organized for the purpose of the electoral campaign. The minister stated that if the work done contributes to any pre-election process, they do not intend to abandon their efforts.

In Papikyan's words, the upcoming military technology parade is a report presented to the public. He revealed that the weapons and equipment that will be displayed have been purchased but have never been shown before. The focus is on the resources acquired during Prime Minister Pashinyan's tenure, a significant portion of which pertains to the years 2022-2025.

Additionally, the head of the department denied reports that they had requested assistance from the Russian 102nd military base for the event. He characterized this information as false, emphasizing that only domestic resources will be displayed as a report to the public.
