Not a Factor of War, but a Factor of Peace: Levon Ter-Petrosyan

We must strive for peace, but one of the fundamental pillars of striving for peace is the strength of the army—the military power, which I view not as a factor of war but as a factor of peace. This was written by the first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

It is worth noting that today marks the Day of the Defender in Armenia. It was around this time in 1992 that the operation for the liberation of Shushi took place.
